Testimonial

"Having done some research on sustainable fishing methods, visiting the Opotiki Community Reef site was incredibly interesting. It is an excellent example of what can be done to ensure that fish populations thrive in the future."

REAF in the News

REAF's activities in New Zealand are sometimes reported in the NewsPapers and Magazines. Below are a selection of some items that have appeared, with the more recent ones appearing at the top of this page.

Please note that the misleading words and headlines 'Artificial Reef' do not come from REAF but from other authors and Editors who frequently categorize our efforts incorrectly.

REAF promotes its efforts as 'seabed enhancement' or 'man initiated reefs', because it is after all nature who does most of the work creating a new reef. We just initiate a process.
