Testimonial

"Having done some research on sustainable fishing methods, visiting the Opotiki Community Reef site was incredibly interesting. It is an excellent example of what can be done to ensure that fish populations thrive in the future."

Finding REAF
(and Marine Life Tours)

Look for one of the sunniest places in New Zealand,
with breath taking coastal scenery,
and near 50/50 Maori / European population.

REAF are keen to share our story and what we are doing with others, so we offer a variety of experiences to suit individuals, small groups and most weathers.
We are though a very small operation and rely on our calendar to make things flow smoothly. Currently we are only in Opotiki New Zealand. We are open most times of the year and welcome your enquiries.

To find us travel the Pacific Coast Highway from Auckland, come through Tauranga, Whakatane and on to Opotiki. Allow 4 hours travel time.

Alternatively if you come from Rotorua then its direct or through to Whakatane and onto Opotiki. Allow 2 hours travel time.

You have to pass through Opotiki if you are travelling from Gisborne. Allow 2 hours and drive carefully in the long Waioeka Gorge.
