Testimonial

"Having done some research on sustainable fishing methods, visiting the Opotiki Community Reef site was incredibly interesting. It is an excellent example of what can be done to ensure that fish populations thrive in the future."

The Marine Life Tour will appeal to anyone with an interest in fishing, marine life and/or the environment in general.

New in 2010. Reef Building 101 - a short one hour look into the principles identified to develop sustainable fisheries. More details, prices, group deals are to be seen at our web site 'Marine Life Tours' .

Our Reef Builders Experience is designed to take you to a stage where you could build a reef in you backyard, deploy it from your 6m boat, and begin to understand our deeper connection with our marine world.

A lot can be achieved in one day, but 2 days is better. Depending on sea conditions some deployment work could also be undertaken.

You will

Learn how to grow more fish in the sea

Make a marine enhancement module

Contribute to the Opotiki Community Reef

This YouTube video clip gives a quick one minute overview of some of the types of activities you get involved in with Marine Life Tours but it cannot relay all the learnings and stories you will come away with.
